A well-known licensed South Florida makeup artist is suing one half of the hip hop duo City Girls.

La’Tara Deshazior of TheFashionistis, LLC claims Miami female rapper ‘JT’, whose real name is Jatavia Johnson violated the terms of their agreement during The 2022 Jack Harlow ‘Come Home The Kids Miss You’ Tour. In legal documents obtained by Toine360, Deshazior accused the "Where The Bag At?” rapper of breach of contract.

The 5-page complaint states Deshazior was hired on September 4th to perform six-weeks of cosmetic duties for Johnson, who operates under JT Music Group, LLC. However, Deshazior alleges she was verbally terminated on September 25th for unspecified reasons. 

The lawsuit claimed JT told Deshazior she would be acquiring another professional makeup artist for the remaining two weeks of The Jack Harlow Tour featuring The City Girls.

JT was contractually obligated to notify Deshazior at least 48-hours prior to termination, according to page 3 of the lawsuit. Deshazior said hours following her unexpected dismissal she was contacted by Lahteefah Parramore, identified in the complaint as JT’s business manager.

Despite claims The City Girl was bringing in someone else, Parramore allegedly indicated JT was unable to secure an artist to complete the remaining make-up services, advising Deshazior that JT was yet again soliciting her services.

Deshazior, according to the complaint, based on inconsistencies surrounding the abrupt termination and the request to rehire, considered renegotiating the terms of her previous agreement with JT. However, Deshazior and JT Music LLC were unsuccessful in their attempt to reach an agreement.

Deshazior said she experienced a significant loss of revenue after accepting the month and a half gig with JT that was later terminated. Deshazior is suing for damages as well as the remaining undisclosed balance for the two weeks she was obligated to perform professional make-up duties for the rap star.
